LEARN MORE ABOUT:
CHOOSING A
HEARING AID?
Hearing aids come in a variety of sizes, shapes, levels of technology, and brands. Our doctors of audiology will sit down and talk with you and your family to guide you in making the best decision based on your needs, lifestyle, and budget. All hearing aid purchases come with a 30-day trial so you can feel confident that the hearing aid you are fit with is the best for you. All hearing aid prescriptions are optimized using real-ear verification, which ensures that your hearing aids are set properly for your hearing loss and according to your individual ear canal acoustics.
We want to optimize the performance of your hearing aids. Our audiologist will discuss options such as bluetooth accessories, rechargeable hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and care and maintenance kits. Our audiologists are certified to perform repairs in the office to avoid costly repairs at the manufacturer.
ASSISTIVE DEVICES
CUSTOM MOLDS
In addition to hearing aids, we offer a variety of assistive listening devices and custom ear solutions. Assistive devices can be used with or without your hearing aids and include personal amplifiers, hearing applications for smartphones, amplified telephones, and TV listening systems.
Custom ear solutions are available for ear phone users and those looking to protect their ears from noise or water exposure. We offer custom earbuds that can attach to any standard device, such as cell phones and MP3 players. In addition, we offer a variety of custom ear protection products, including filtered hearing protection for musicians, shooter’s earplugs, and swim plugs.
HEARING TEST
The first step in treating a hearing problem, is to obtain a thorough, diagnostic hearing evaluation. Our doctors of audiology are highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus. The hearing evaluation includes tone testing to determine the degree and type of hearing loss, speech testing to evaluate the auditory nerve’s ability to send speech clearly to the brain, and middle and inner ear diagnostics to evaluate the mechanics of the auditory system. Our hearing center is equipped with the latest technology to accurately assess the auditory system of patients across the lifespan, from infants to adults.
